Dr. Wahome Gakuru Half Marathon- 2ND Edition transpired on 10th November 2019. Hundreds came out to participate in this event with marathon enthusiasts lauding the event’s organization. Nyeri Governor H.E Mutahi Kahiga thanked all for turning out in large numbers to support this event that is held annually in honor of Nyeri’s 3rd Governor the late Dr. Wahome Gakuru who passed on in a road accident on 7th November 2017. Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu joined Governor Mutahi Kahiga in the event together with a section of MCAs, athletes from across the county and beyond the borders, marathon sponsors and other stakeholders.
