Pauline Kalonzo is the wife of former Kenyan vice president and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

She is a modest woman who prefers to stay out of the spotlight while quietly supporting her husband’s political career.

Pauline Kalonzo is at ease without the trappings of power, and she used to drive herself to work at central bank in her Toyota Corolla.

Since her admission to Nairobi Hospital in 2015, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s wife, Pauline Kalonzo, has received little attention.

Pauline was said to be suffering from an unspecified ailment.

According to Nairobi Hospital sources, she was first admitted on a Tuesday evening on December 29, 2015, after doctors advised her to stay in the hospital for further examinations.

The former Deputy President and his close family members were spotted at the hospital the next morning.

Doctors later stated that Pauline, a senior employee of the Central Bank of Kenya, was in good health and would be released following the tests.

However, she sought medical treatment abroad soon after.

She was a student at Mlango Girls but details on her primary and secondary education remain scanty.

Meeting Kalonzo & Marriage

Pauline got married to Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka in 1985 and the two went on to have four kids.

The former vice president disclosed in an interview years ago that he met Pauline in 1972 while she was still a Form 2 student in Mlango Girls.

At the time he was in Form 5 at Meru School and Pauline was secretary of the Christian Union.

They met at a Christians conference.

Children

One of their sons Klein Kalonzo graduated from the University of Nairobi school of journalism and Media Studies years ago.

Kennedy Musyoka was nominated to the East  Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) in 2017.

Kalonzo’s daughter Damaris Musenya has taken after her as she keeps away from the media and politics.
