Police are investigating the death of George Kiarie, branch manager of Kenya Commercial Bank Nanyuki. Confirming the Sunday incident, County Police Commander Maxwel Nyaema said on Saturday night the 50-year-old man’s body was found in his Nanyuki Town house.
George Kiarie’s colleagues were suspicious after Saturday’s failure to report to work and his phone went unanswered.
According to Laikipia County Commander Maxwell Nyaema, bank officers became curious after efforts to reach their manager were futile. As the day came to an end they reported this issue to Nanyuki Police Station.
A bank employee by the name Paul Mwaniki made a report at the station before some officers went to his house at about 10 pm and found the body of the banker lying in the toilet.

Mr Nyaema said they have since commenced investigations into the incident. His body was moved to Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary.
The manager was known to be a down to earth person who readily interacted with many people who.He would participate in both corporate and county functions. A lot of people who met him were saddened by his passing.
