Ngirici, tycoon and neglected husband of Kirinyaga women rep Purity Ngirici is on the run after causing a scene, assault and property damage at palm-tree hotel in Kerugoya Town.

Andrew is being sought for by the DCI attached to the Kerugoya police station after the plaintiff, Mr Peterson recorded a statement to press assault and property damage charges against Mr Ngirici.

According to Peterson, popularly known as Mayor, an altercation arose after he got cosy with the woman, name withheld, that had accompanied Mr Ngirici.

Peterson explained that on the fateful day, Ngirici had been alone because his wife had gone out to a two-day long trip to Maasai Mara for negotiations with the deputy president.

Mr Ngirici had taken his chances and outsourced a woman from Nairobi who was taken to Kerugoya by one of their family drivers.

Mr Ngirici was infuriated by the act although Peterson explained that they were already drunk and their inappropriate touching was not intentional or offensive to him and the woman.

The Assault

He assaulted Peterson until fellow ravers intervened for Peterson who was to drunk to fight back. In a moment of madness, Ngirici drew his gun, threatening to kill Peterson but shot in the air.

Not satisfied with the scene, Ngirici proceeded to damage Peterson’s car breaking the windscreen and deflating the front tyres.

Peterson was taken to Kerugoya Police station to record a statement so as to allow him get medical attention, where they were issued with a P3 after which they proceeded to the Kerugoya medical center, Kwa Wahome, where he was given first aid, and admitted for specialised treatment.

Peterson was discharged last Wednesday to continue recuperating from home.

The matter is set to be mentioned before the Kerugoya magistrate court next week on Tuesday 19th May as the police continue to urge members of the public to provide any information on the whereabouts of the tycoon.
