Tigania East Residents Courtesy Call

Governor Kiraitu Murungi has this evening received a delegation of Tigania East residents and area MP Hon. Gichunge Kabeabea, who paid him a courtesy call at his office.

The group who were accompanying their MP from a development function in Tigania East, had made a request to greet the Governor at his office, which he obliged.

Led by various grassroots community leaders, the residents expressed joy and praised the Governor for his humility in accepting to welcome them on short notice.

They welcomed the cordial working relationship between Governor Kiraitu and their MP, Hon. Kabeabea, saying they look forward to even closer engagement in making Tigania East and Tigania as whole, a core part of the Making Meru Great dream.

Welcoming the delegation, Governor Kiraitu thanked them for their show of friendship, adding that his goal is to unify the whole County of Meru by equitably sharing resources and opportunities, especially through the Sh20 million annual allocation of Ward Development Kitty.

He appreciated their invitation to strengthen the cooperation with MP Hon. Kabeabea in delivering development to Tigania East.

Deputy Governor Hon. Titus Ntuchiu who is from Tigania West, said the visit signifies the fruits of Governor Kiraitu’s hard work to unify the County and bring on board even those who did not support him, in order to make them part and parcel of the Making Meru Great vision.

The DG said this also echoes their first pledge as a government, to create an all-inclusive governance system where all the people of Meru feel as part of their own Government.
