CS Amina Mohammed Visits Kinoru Stadium

CS Amina Mohammed was on an official tour of the county of Meru.The contractor at Kinoru Stadium has been instructed to ensure that all remaining work is completed by next week. The stadium should be ready for inspection before July 15, 2020.

After which President Uhuru Kenyatta will officially open it.

CS Amina Mohammed toured Meru County to follow up on progress of various projects under her docket. She met the County Governor to deliberate on the same.

CS Mohammed gave the contractor a stern notice to stop any more delays and excuses for unfinished works. Adding that Her Ministry provided all support and logistics. Moreso, the County Government has been Corporating well.

Good Corporation

CS Amina Mohammed thanked the Governor for the cooperation his administration accorded her ministry in delivering this project. She assured Meru people that she’s going to be monitoring everything until the facility is ready. CS Amina Mohammed has worked with him for more than 30 years.

Once Kinoru Stadium is complete, it will be used as the model for upcoming stadia by the national government in other counties. So far Kinoru Stadium is one of Kenya’s stadiums that has the best designs in the country.

On his part, Governor Kiraitu appreciated CS Amina Mohammed and President Kenyatta. The visit by the CS is a great show of friendship and commitment. President Kenyatta’s administration is working with Meru County Government in delivering quality development to the people of Meru.

Njuri Ncheke Shrine

Governor Kiraitu also accompanied CS Amina Mohammed on a tour of Njuri Ncheke Shrine at Nchiru. A place where her Ministry through the National Museums of Kenya in partnership with the County Government has set to put up Sh50 million Njuri Ncheke Cultural Center.

The County Government has already put Sh15 million into the project and CS Amina announced that President Kenyatta has directed her ministry to finance the remaining Sh35 million to ensure the project is completed in record time.

CS Amina Mohammed’s visit comes hot on the heels of visits by CS Betty Maina of Trade and CS Najib Balala of Tourism through this week.

They have all come to fast track completion of projects under their ministries. The Governor had led a meeting of Meru leaders with CS for Interior and Coordination of National Government Dr. Fred Matiang’i.

Who is also President Kenyatta’s chairman and coordinator of all national government development programmes and projects.
