Led by Governor Kiraitu Murungi, the County Government has committed to streamlining infrastructure. Therefore, delivering the promise of Dust-free towns in the Igembe region as well as other parts of the County.
County Secretary Dr. Rufus Miriti, said that Kimongoro, Kangeta and Kiutine are earmarked for cabro upgrade. This promotes a dust-free environmental for residents to live and do business.
He announced that the contractor will work on the historically difficult Kimongoro-Ntherone-Kisimani road
Residents ought to be patient and tolerant about the ongoing floods. Which he noted have destroyed roads and other infrastructure all over the country.
The delayed and regularly contested distribution of revenue and disbursement of funds to the Counties by the National Government plays a major role in delaying the implementation of County Government Projects.

He spoke at Athimba Primary School in Kanuni Ward, Igembe South, where he graced the wedding ceremony for Mr. Silas Kirimi and Miss Caroline Karimi.
CS Miriti welcomed Igembe’s residents at the Jamhuri Celebrations to be held in the area.

Progress has been made in fixing Cabro in different areas to make them cleaner and dust-free.
Among the many towns that have now laid cabro are Nkubu, kithirune, kianjai, kiirua, antubetwe kiongo, and kimongoro.
